Al Salam Community School is proud to confirm our receipt of the SEND Inclusion Award (SENDIA) for the years 2026-2028.

This accolade is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive education for all students, including People of Determination in Dubai.
Why the SENDIA Accreditation Matters
The SEND Inclusion Award is a prestigious, nationally recognised framework from the UK. It requires schools to undergo a comprehensive evaluation of their Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision. Earning this award confirms that ASCS employs compliant, compassionate, and effective practices that align strictly with the UK SEND Code of Practice, ensuring no child is left behind.
Outstanding Support for Every Learner
This accreditation validates our “Assess, Plan, Do, Review” cycle. It reassures our parents that:
- We possess robust early identification systems for learning needs.
- Our teaching is adaptive and high-quality for all abilities.
- Parents are treated as active partners in their child’s educational journey.
Setting the Standard for Inclusive Education in Dubai
Aligned with the Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework, this award highlights ASCS as a leader among British schools in Dubai. We go beyond basic compliance to create an environment where diversity is celebrated. For prospective families, the SENDIA is a guarantee that Al Salam Community School is equipped with the expertise and dedication to help every student achieve their full potential, regardless of their starting point.
We are thrilled to announce that Al Salam Community School (ASCS) has officially received the Wellbeing Award for Schools (WAS) accreditation for the 2026-2028 period.

This significant achievement cements our position as a leading British curriculum school in Dubai dedicated to the holistic health of our students and staff.
A Mark of Excellence in Pastoral Care
The Wellbeing Award, developed in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau, is a rigorous UK-based framework. Achieving this award is highly prestigious; it verifies that a school does not simply treat mental health as an ‘add-on’, but embeds it into the very fabric of the school culture. It demonstrates that ASCS meets the highest international standards for emotional support and resilience building.
Prioritising Mental Health for Our Community
For parents searching for a nurturing educational environment, this accreditation offers peace of mind. It signifies that ASCS has:
- Robust strategies to promote positive mental health.
- Reduced stigma surrounding emotional wellbeing.
- Established clear support networks for both pupils and staff.
Leading the Way for British Schools in Dubai
In the dynamic Dubai education landscape, this award aligns ASCS with the KHDA’s vision for student wellness and the Dubai Wellbeing Census. While we are known for academic rigour, this award distinguishes us as a school that balances high performance with happiness. It confirms our commitment to producing well-rounded, resilient global citizens who are truly ready to learn.
We’ve achieved something quite extraordinary, securing the Highest Attainment in the Arabic Benchmark Tests (ABT). This remarkable feat saw us shine amongst an incredible 1,200+ schools, spanning 14 diverse countries – from our neighbours in the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and KSA, all the way to esteemed institutions in the UK, USA, and Canada.
This outstanding accomplishment is, without a doubt, a reflection of the unwavering dedication, profound expertise, and passion of our incredible Arabic Department. We are grateful to each member of this phenomenal team for their tireless efforts in nurturing our learners, guiding them with such care and commitment to reach their absolute best in the beautiful Arabic language.

Understanding the Arabic Benchmark Test (ABT)
The Arabic Benchmark Test (ABT) is a globally respected, standardised assessment thoughtfully designed to gauge students’ proficiency in Arabic. It meticulously covers the four cornerstone language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. By offering a clear and comprehensive picture of language capabilities, the ABT is an invaluable tool, helping schools to understand student progress and gently identify areas where a little more support might be beneficial. Its robust framework ensures that the results are wonderfully reliable and easily comparable across a vast array of educational settings around the world.
The Advantage of Our ABT Partnership
Our partnership with the Arabic Benchmark Test offers ASCS truly invaluable insights into the precious linguistic journey of our students. This collaboration allows us to:
Uphold Our Standards: Further solidify ASCS’s well-earned reputation as a leading light in Arabic language education, warmly welcoming families who deeply value high standards in linguistic and cultural development.

Benchmark Our Progress: Thoughtfully compare our students’ development against both international standards and a wide, diverse network of schools, ensuring we are always striving for excellence and growth.
Refine Our Teaching: Utilise the detailed and insightful feedback from the tests to continually enhance our curriculum and teaching methods, ensuring we meet every student’s unique needs with tailored support and maximise their learning journey.
Celebrate Every Milestone: Provide tangible and heartwarming evidence of our students’ growing Arabic proficiency, fostering their confidence and gently encouraging them to continue their incredible learning adventure.
This remarkable achievement in the Arabic Benchmark Test reinforces ASCS’s deep-seated commitment to nurturing well-rounded, globally-aware individuals who feel a strong connection to their rich cultural heritage. A massive, congratulations once again to our wonderful students and our Arabic Department! We couldn’t be prouder.
We are delighted to celebrate another year of outstanding achievement at Al Salam Community School, Mashallah.
With 35% of A Level grades at A or A, and an ‘Outstanding’ GCSE results showing 56% at A–A and 75% between A*–B, our students have truly demonstrated what hard work, determination, and community support can accomplish. Behind these impressive numbers are the remarkable journeys of learners who overcame challenges, discovered passions, and exceeded expectations.
