Our Policies for Smart Devices and Chromebooks

At Al Salam Community School, we recognise that technology is a powerful tool for enhancing learning, fostering collaboration, and preparing pupils for the future. To ensure a safe, focused, and equitable digital environment for all members of our community, we have established clear guidelines regarding personal smart devices and school-issued technology.

Mobile Phone and Smart Device Policy

Our policy is designed to maximise pupil focus during school hours and minimise classroom disruption. By managing when and how smart devices are used, the school is creating a calm environment where pupils can concentrate fully on their educational tasks.

Chromebook Policy

The Chromebook Policy supports our school’s commitment to technology integration through our 1:1 device programme. Every pupil is provided with a Chromebook to access digital resources, complete assignments, and collaborate effectively. This policy ensures that these devices remain effective educational tools.
