Ayesha Mirza

Ayesha Mirza joins the school in 2026 as Assistant Head Teacher and Head of English.
Originally from Birmingham, UK, she brings over 11 years of teaching and leadership experience across both UK and international British schools.

Ayesha is deeply passionate about education and believes that children are at the heart of everything she does. She is committed to creating inclusive, ambitious learning environments where every pupil is supported to thrive. Having progressed from classroom teacher to senior leadership, Ayesha has held roles including Subject Leader, Head of Key Stage 2 and Head of Curriculum (Primary and Secondary). She has worked collaboratively to strengthen teaching and learning, develop high- quality curricula and drive improved outcomes for pupils.

In her most recent role as Head of Curriculum in an Abu Dhabi school, she led whole-school curriculum strategy from Foundation Stage to Year 9. Her work contributed to the curriculum being recognised as ‘outstanding’ in the BSO inspection, reflecting the strength and coherence of provision across the school.
Ayesha is highly invested in both pupil and teacher development, with extensive experience in coaching, mentoring and leading professional development. She is known for fostering a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement. She has also contributed internationally as a Specialist Key Stage 2 SATs Reading Marker which has supported her work on improving reading provision.

As a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Ayesha is committed to ensuring the highest standards of pupil wellbeing and care. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Ayesha is excited to join the school community and looks forward to working in partnership with staff, pupils and families to ensure every child feels valued, inspired and able to achieve their full potential.
